2017 GC, 5.7 Hemi Not starting. Issues started a few days ago, When pressing the start button, it will take about 5 seconds and starts the Jeep. However after few days, (It was parked as I didn't drive it) I tried to start the Jeep, and everything turns on, but no crack. I checked the battery voltage using the cig lighter in the armrest and it

Even Chrysler address it to solve. Basically the chain snaps around 80-120k miles while cruising around 50-70mph. Mds mode active also.

The biggest drawback on the Jeep Hemi's is the crappy exhaust log manifolds, along with a heavy, restrictive cat. back. See pix below of the collectors off a 5.7 Jeep logs (left), a 5.7 Dodge/Chrysler logs (center) and my first set of custom headers on the right. Also, when you remove the MDS, you'll get DTC's and MIL's indicating it is not TXjeep1 said: All-. I just purchased a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4x4 (Quadra Drive 2) with a 5.7L Hemi. I have had this vehicle for three days and it is doing the following: 1.) No horn. 2.)No driver side headlight, No high beam auto, when high beam auto engaged the instrument cluster lighting turns off and no headlights. 3.)No windshield wipers.

I am having that same problem with my 07 Grand Cherokee Limited. I have traced it down to DTC code P0884. The TCM (Transmission Control Monitor) stops receiving a signal from the transmission Via a loose wire or plug connection causing the vehicle to buck/jerk or stall while driving for a second or two then continues normal driving.

I have a 2007 Jeep Cherokee overland with the hemi 5.7 engine. from what I was told it has a recently replaced transmission and for some reason it will not go over about 20 mi per hour without it refusing to shift gears and then while it is building up to that the gears go erratically from first second third drive randomly. the OBD reading is saying high pressure. also it hesitates going into

Check your dipstick is an AD version if earlier version when oil is at the full line it will be 8 quarts vs the 7 quarts the hemi requires and you can get blue smoke. A few threads on this.

funkymonkey. I have a 2011 GC Overland with 5.7L and tow package. I recently flushed the cooling system, changed upper and lower radiator hoses, replaced 203 degree thermostat with new 203 degree, new 18 lb radiator cap, and refilled with Mopar coolant. Engine temp has been consistent (before and after). The problem goes back in WK2s in the 5.7L Hemi to model year 2011 with the use of valve train multi-displacement systems. Needed a replacement engine in mine a bit over a year ago. Bob N. 2011 Grand Cherokee Overland 5.7L, 1999 Cherokee XJ 4.0L (off-road enhanced) Hemi tick finally cured. 76k on my Hemi and have always run full synhetic oil, changed it and used injector cleaner every 5k and only run top tier 89 octane, and the tick would never go away. New EGR helped but still made the noise. It is time for an oil change after 5k on Valvoline synpower, so I added 10 oz of Seafoam to the old oil.

Stalled on my wife three times with no check engine light. Dealership had it for a week and said it had a P0884 code. They could not duplicate the problem and re-programed the PCM.
The temperature sensor for this transmission is inside the TRS/solenoid block, which is bolted to the valve body. There are a few scenarios possible for this fault: a: The transmission fluid is really too hot. b: The transmission fluid temperature sensor is faulty. c: The PCM is faulty. d: Wiring problem.
5.7 V-8 HELP!!!! Engine Misfire, Been Chasing forever!! P302. I have a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee with the 5.7 V-8 with 102,000 miles. I just had the lifters, camshaft, and valves replaced after the lifter gave out on Cylinder 2.
