Publicat 27 Mai, 2018. Detin Scoda Octavia 1.0 TSI de aprox 8 luni si 13 000 km fara probleme la motorizare si masina. Motorul este vioi, face fata fara probleme caroseriei, nu transmite vibratii majore in interior, are un consum decent, apropiat de 1.9 TDI si chiar mai mic.

1.8 TSi is a gem of a engine but the gearbox DSG DQ200 is now all old school and bogging the engine down. Its limiting the engine power since DQ200 upper limit is 250 Nm torque. 1.8 TSi(Skoda Laura) made 250 Nm torque and still makes the same on MQB but on a wider range. What is suggest is that the gearbox is limiting it.
The Skoda dealer I got the car from says change at 105000 kms. Any thoughts? By the time the car reaches 105000 kms the cost of a timing belt service will most likely be the same as the value of the car, so I may just keep it and take a chance and if the engine detonates scrap the car.

Posted 16 August, 2021 (edited) The 1.2 TSI (or the 1.0) did not have ACT & the 1.0 e-Tec & 1.5 e-Tec are a whole new kettle of fish with mild hybrid and VW have the e-DQ200 DSG for them. So really apples and pears comparing how a 1.5 TSI Manual is with a 1.5 TSI with DSG. Then the e-Tec are a Red Herring.
