Hopefully the new watch will have a newer chipset, and appears to have a larger battery. Like the previous poster said the watch hardware should be optimized for the new OS. I am positive that they're bringing Android Wear, at least, to the Watch3 series. It would be like robbing the consumers if they didn't do that.
