The FL5 is based on the 11th generation Civic and loses much of the ricer cosmetics of its predecessor. Instead, the more polished exterior belies greater improvements in terms of aerodynamic efficiency, power and grip. Power comes from the same engine as its predecessor with some extra ponies massaged out of it.
maybe there is an aero advantage on the fk8 at speed? a curious thing. Also, broken in engine doesnt make that much of a difference as shown in the video. I'm saying Honda decided to tone things down yet added a tacked on looking spoiler. Honda is weird. Lol Negligible difference plus the FL5 makes more torque everywhere. Certainly not enough of a disadvantage to get pulled by multiple car lengths. I still contend that the blue FK8 TH had is quicker than your average stock FK8 for whatever reason.
